Co-op HV is a trusted team of place-based practitioners who invest generous time, resources, and care into providing local cooperators with wraparound support, responsive cooperative education, and non-extractive capital.
Incubation + Wraparound Support
From providing community office hours to tailored technical assistance and coaching, we partner with co-ops and solidarity projects to grow thriving businesses from the inside-out.
Support areas include: business model, governance, financial planning, strategy, pivots, democratic decision-making, conflict navigation, culture development, and more.
Since 2021, we’ve served over 240 cooperators regionally!
Education & Ecosystem
We provide learning opportunities for cooperators at all stages of their journey and co-steward the growth of Hudson Valley’s regional solidarity economy ecosystem.
Key offerings have included: JUMPSTART—a interactive co-op development lab, virtual co-op 101s in partnership with Rock Steady Farm, in-person workshops in partnership w/ Good Work Institute, solidarity ecosystem network gatherings, and advisory and collaboration with Westchester Cooperative Network.
Resource Mobilization
We provide co-ops non-extractive access to loan products in partnership with Seed Commons. To date, Co-op HV has invested over $3.4M into Hudson Valley cooperatives and solidarity projects.
Through our emerging Solidarity Economy Ecosystem Development [SEED] Fund, we distributed $30K in grants in 2025, and are on track to distribute a minimum of $40K annually through 2029.
Co-op Hudson Valley is a proud member of Seed Commons—a community wealth cooperative that shares capital and network infrastructure to shift power and move resources to everyday people.
Seed Commons is comprised of 41+ member organizations and funds in United States, Canada, Nicaragua, and Argentina.
